Bespoke Luxury Kitchen Design in Norfolk

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Kitchens & Bathrooms that complement the architecture

Set within the heart of Brancaster Staithe, this is a striking coastal home designed for relaxed North Norfolk living. Thoughtfully renovated by Atelier Associates and crafted by The Willow Group, it brings together refined architecture, light-filled interiors and an easy connection to its surroundings.

Open-plan kitchen, dining and family spaces are wrapped in full-height glazing, allowing sunlight to pour in and doors to slide back onto the covered terrace - perfect for long summer evenings and year-round entertaining.

Henry Rose Interiors was appointed to deliver the kitchen design, supply and installation, alongside the design and supply of the bathrooms, for this striking contemporary residence marketed through Sowerbys.

The kitchen was designed as a generous open-plan space, balancing minimal contemporary styling with warm, tactile finishes to create an inviting yet sophisticated environment. The kitchen design focused on clean architectural lines and a carefully restrained material palette to complement the home’s contemporary architecture.

The developers wanted to use durable, high specification materials suitable for modern living, so we specified a Rotpunkt kitchen not only for it’s focus on eco-friendly materials and climate-neutral production, but for it’s refined detailing and precision-led German engineering and it’s ability to bespoke for any size needed.

To not draw too much attention away from the gorgeous flint wall the cabinetry was selected in a pale beach grey, and to mimic the wood cladding on the outside, this was paired with Loft Nature Oak.

A waterfall island in Calacatta Antico ceramic provides a working centrepiece, its veining deliberate and unhurried. The durability, stain resistance and heat performance of ceramic make it ideally suited to a modern family home while delivering a refined aesthetic. This ceramic worktop was also used as the backsplash behind the tap and again in the pantry/bar area between the shelves. Recessed single lighting was used under the 2 levels of kitchen wall cabinets and again under the shelves in the pantry/bar area.

A bespoke pantry/bar hybrid situated directly off the kitchen to maximise space and entertainment value by combining dry food storage, full integrated freezer, wine cooler and small circular sink. The decision was made not to hide this feature but to have this within easy access of the kitchen.

The appliance specification was carefully curated around performance and reliability. A comprehensive set of Neff appliances provide professional-level functionality, including multifunction ovens, advanced cooking technology and integrated refrigeration, all seamlessly incorporated within the architectural cabinetry. On either side of the kitchen a Slide & Hide oven, above one a combination microwave and above the other an integrated coffee machine.

A Quooker boiling-water tap was selected to complement the minimalist design language while adding convenience for everyday living. Delivering instant boiling, filtered and chilled water from a single fixture, it reduces countertop clutter and supports the clean aesthetic of the space. The Cube was added to further elevate the specification to deliver chilled filtered and sparkling water.

To keep the simplistic clean lines a Bora ducted downdraft hob was selected, eliminating the need for a bulky overhead extractor, all whilst delivering exceptional cooking performance and premium appeal.

Storage throughout the kitchen was designed around practical family living. Deep pan drawers, internal organisation systems and concealed recycling solutions ensure the visual simplicity of the design is maintained without compromising usability.

The utility room continues the design language of the kitchen in a more practical register - a separate sink, laundry appliances hidden behind doors with drawers underneath for washing baskets to be placed upon. Plant cupboard to house the cylinder and comms, plus lots more storage.

Four generous en-suite bedrooms provide space for family and guests, including a superb top-floor principal suite with sweeping views across marshland and countryside. Plus a downstairs shower room for days on the beach or dog walking, you are spoilt for choice in this new home.

During the design meetings with the developers it was apparent that they were looking to create a lasting impression and maximise property value. We therefore suggested wet rooms as an exceptional choice for delivering a luxurious, contemporary bathroom design. Their seamless, open-plan aesthetic creates a sense of space and sophistication, while offering practical benefits such as improved accessibility and easy maintenance.

The warm metallic tones of brushed brass taps and shower fittings add depth, character and a refined finish that elevates the overall design beyond standard specifications. Together, wet rooms and brushed brass details create a high-end, hotel-inspired experience that appeals to discerning buyers and helps developments stand out in a competitive market.
