ABOUT THE PROJECT
Kitchens & Bathrooms that complement the architecture
Designed by the acclaimed Atelier Associates Architecture for The Willow Group and set within walking distance of the historic golf links and golden sands of Old Hunstanton, this exceptional new build home was designed for modern living.
At its heart is an expansive open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area, seamlessly connected to the garden for easy indoor–outdoor living. Flooded with natural light, it is a space to entertain, relax, and enjoy. A utility and boot room add practicality, ideal for sandy beach gear, golf clubs, or muddy wellies.
Henry Rose Interiors were commissioned to design spaces for both daily family life and sophisticated entertaining. Inspired by the scale of the open-plan living area a striking double-island was designed using premium materials. With sustainability in mind we specified a Rotpunkt kitchen not only for it’s focus on eco-friendly materials and climate-neutral production, but for it’s refined detailing and precision-led German engineering,
The dual-island arrangement allows multiple zones for cooking, preparation, cleaning, dining and socialising, creating a highly practical layout while maintaining a strong visual impact.
Large-format ceramic surfaces were selected for the worktops and island cladding, featuring precision-mitred waterfall ends that showcase the material’s vein and create a sculptural focal point within the space. The durability, stain resistance and heat performance of ceramic make it ideally suited to a modern family home while delivering a refined aesthetic.
To elevate the entertaining experience, a bespoke concealed bar was integrated within the furniture design. Hidden behind pocket doors, the bar reveals glass shelving, with antique mirror to the back to reflect the integral lighting within the bar, while remaining discreet when not in use. Including an additional sink for those cocktail creating moments and wine cooler. This feature allows the kitchen to transition effortlessly from family living to evening entertaining.
The appliance specification was carefully curated around performance and reliability. A comprehensive four-block Neff appliance suite provides professional-level functionality, including multifunction ovens, advanced cooking technology and integrated refrigeration, all seamlessly incorporated within the architectural cabinetry.
A Quooker boiling-water tap was selected to complement the minimalist design language while adding convenience for everyday living. Delivering instant boiling, filtered and chilled water from a single fixture, it reduces countertop clutter and supports the clean aesthetic of the space. The Cube was added to further elevate the specification to deliver chilled filtered and sparkling water.
To keep the simplistic clean lines a Bora ducted downdraft hob was selected, eliminating the need for a bulky overhead extractor, all whilst delivering exceptional cooking performance and premium appeal.
Storage throughout the kitchen was designed around practical family living. Deep pan drawers, internal organisation systems and concealed recycling solutions ensure the visual simplicity of the design is maintained without compromising usability.
